Two Weekends, Two Different Countries

It comes as no surprise that traveling the world has always been a dream of mine, as I'm sure its a dream everyone possesses at some time in their life. However, from the States it's not quite so easy to hop on a train to France or catch a quick flight to Spain, but from London, it's all suddenly very possible. Therefore, a few of us decided to journey to Barcelona last weekend, and to Belgium and Amsterdam this past weekend. Overall, both trips allowed me to experience cultures very different than my own and gave me access to beautiful and historical sites, new languages, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Barcelona, although we encountered some traveling stress and not so ideal weather, was gorgeous. We enjoyed delicious dinners consisting of seafood paella, tapas, and the best sangria I had ever tasted. We saw the famous and almost surreal works of Gaudí, such as de Sagrada Família and Park Güell, and wandered around many of the unique districts the city has to offer. Oh, and in true Barcelona style, we went to the beach clubs in the early morning and ran barefoot on the soft sand. All in all, it was a city that I will never forget.
